How we SERVE.

  • Social Enrichment

From 1st Friday Black Vetworking to the Conduit: Resource Fair, connecting with other vets, especially Black veterans, builds a support system, combats isolation, and fosters a sense of belonging. It's about sharing experiences, boosting well-being, and thriving together.

  • Education

Black veterans often faced discrimination when trying to access GI Bill benefits after serving their country. Higher education unlocks doors for Black veterans. It equips them with valuable skills for competitive careers, boosting their earning potential and financial security. This knowledge, combined with their military service, creates a powerful resume that stands out to employers.

  • Recruiting

Black veterans deserve a strong voice. The National Association of Black Veterans (NABVETS) is built for Black veterans, by Black veterans. Joining NABVETS connects you with a community that understands your unique experiences and fights for the benefits you've earned. Together, you can advocate for a brighter future.

  • Visitation

Regular visits from family, friends, or community members show Black veterans they're valued and not forgotten. These connections combat isolation, offer support, and remind them of the strength they bring to the community. It's a simple act with a powerful impact.

  • Employment/ Entrepreneurship

Black veterans possess leadership, discipline, and a drive for success – perfect ingredients for entrepreneurship. Yet, systemic barriers often hold them back. Supporting Black veteran entrepreneurs is crucial. It's about access to funding, mentorship, and business resources. By leveling the playing field, we empower them to turn their vision into reality, create jobs, and become economic powerhouses in their communities.
